Phil is a professional actor whose career has covered working in all areas of the industry both nationally and internationally. He has appeared in nine productions with the Royal Shakespeare Company, being invited to become part of Sir Michael Boyd’s long ensemble company in 2011. He has also appeared in productions for, amongst others; the National Theatre, Royal Court Theatre, Soho Theatre, Chichester Festival Theatre, dreamthinkspeak and Bath Theatre Royal.

International work includes productions at Lincoln Center and Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York, Theatre Rotterdam and the prestigious world-renowned theatre arts festival The Festival d’Avignon. He has also appeared in numerous television film and audio productions; the most recent being Endeavour - Series 4 and EastEnders. Phil is also an Associate Artist of the Oxford Shakespeare Company.

Alongside his acting career, Phil has for the past nine years taught and directed at many actor training institutions including LAMDA, where he has taught acting for the Foundation Diploma, the BA and MA courses. Recent directing credits at LAMDA include workshop productions of The Winter’s Tale, Hamlet, The Two Gentleman of Verona and The Duchess of Malfi.
