Jenny Lipman trained as an actor at the Drama Centre. She has worked extensively in the theatre (including the RSC, Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse, Theatre Royal York and Birmingham Rep); working with directors including John Barton, Terry Hands, David Thacker, Charles Marowitz, Christopher Fettes and Ken Campbell. She has performed in Italy at the Teatro Stabile of Turin and toured the Middle and Far East. Her film and television credits include projects with directors Franco Zeffirelli, Bruce Beresford, Michael Apted and Michael Papas.

Jenny’s long association with LAMDA is both as a teacher of acting technique (an approach based on the methodologies of Stanislavski and Uta Hagen) and a director. Public productions include Doug Lucie’s Fashion and two plays by Willy Russell – Stag and Hens and Breezeblock Park. She has also taught and directed at other UK drama schools including RADA, Drama Centre, Guildhall and Central School of Speech and Drama. Internationally, Jenny has conducted workshops and directed A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Much Ado about Nothing and Twelfth Night for the Teatro Del Borgia in Italy.
