What's that sound? It is clearly Audible

Last month we launched an exciting new partnership with Amazon's Audible, which will provide £150,000 of funding to the drama school over the next three years. We will collaborate together to develop the next generation of acting talent through scholarships and training opportunities in audio entertainment.

Joanna Read, LAMDA Principal says: “We are delighted that this new partnership has come to fruition. Here at LAMDA we are committed to providing students with diverse and varied training which will set them up for a career in an industry which is constantly evolving. This new collaboration will offer our talented students an exciting opportunity to develop skills within an increasingly growing field of performing arts.”

David Suchet honoured at Diploma Day

On Friday 20 July, we held our annual Diploma Day at Kensington Olympia. During the ceremony, celebrated actor, LAMDA alumnus and former LAMDA Vice-President David Suchet CBE was awarded a Fellowship of the Academy by Luke Rittner CBE, Chairman Emeritus.

Multi-award winning actor David Suchet graduated from LAMDA in 1969 and has since gone on to enjoy a hugely successful and varied career across stage and screen. You can find him on the West End in The Lover/The Collection, as part of the 10th anniversary Harold Pinter commemmorative season, running from 13 September - 20 October at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

Harry Hadden-Paton: From Lincoln Center to Gramercy Park

We joined forces with AFLAMDA (American Friends of LAMDA) to host an event at the Players Club, NYC to celebrate Harry Hadden-Paton's Tony nomination for his Broadway debut in My Fair Lady, where he was joined by fellow LAMDA alumni, patrons and friends.

We look forward to hosting more events in America in collaboration with AFLAMDA. Find out more about AFLAMDA and how you can get involved.

The future looks bright

We have launched a new initiative, LAMDA Futures, to support our students' entrepeneurial endeavours and careers beyond life at LAMDA. The inititative aims to support our students as the industry continues to evolve, and encourage the next generation of talent by supporting entrepeneurial efforts and creative endeavours beyond their life at LAMDA.
