Introduction to Drama School
Two-week short course
If you are thinking about applying to drama school, or if you have ever wondered what it's like to train as an actor, this course will help to answer your questions. Experience an introduction to life at drama school with LAMDA!
Closely mirroring the work that takes place on LAMDA’s Foundation Diploma, students on this short course undertake training in acting, voice, movement, dance, improvisation and Shakespeare.
Working in small groups, with approximately 16 students per class, this course is led by the same tutors and industry professionals who lead our full-time training, supported by visiting artists and recent LAMDA graduates.
Acting is taught within project rehearsals and the overall emphasis of the course is on performance-based work. At the end of the two-weeks students share their work with each other at an open rehearsal attended by LAMDA tutors and students.
This course is not validated by a higher education institution (HEI). It is one of LAMDA’s own range of non-accredited certificates. Students who complete this course will receive a LAMDA Short Course Certificate. This course runs from 23 July 2018 - 3 August 2018.
Entry is by application form with a short personal statement.
Applications open on 2 October 2017.
Online application fee: £21
