Samuel Barnett
Genesis Foundation

Samuel Barnett (Genesis Foundation scholar) trained on LAMDA’s Three Year Acting Course, graduating in 2001. He was awarded a Genesis Foundation Scholarship on taking up his place at the Academy and received support for all three years of his training. 

After leaving LAMDA, Samuel created the role of Posner in the National Theatre’s acclaimed production of The History Boys, directed by Sir Nicholas Hytner; reprising this role in the film and on tour. Most recently he has appeared alongside Mark Rylance in Twelfth Night and Richard III, which also toured to New York. Samuel’s work on television includes the BBC’s Desperate Romantics and BAFTA-award winning comedy Twenty Twelve.
