You Made It Happen

You Made It Happen

On 6 November 2013, against the backdrop of the National Theatre, we launched Act Now! – our campaign to raise the final funds needed to complete our £28.2 million centre for drama training. With graduate Benedict Cumberbatch CBE as Patron and the Rt. Hon. Shaun Woodward as Chair, we asked you to help us transform our west London home.

Your response was overwhelming…

Two years later, multi-award winning LAMDA graduate Jim Broadbent added his voice to the cause – encouraging you to Take Your Seat in The Sainsbury Theatre and play your part in ensuring we have the facilities to match our global reputation.

Nearly 150 of you answered his call. We were tantalisingly close…

In January 2017, with just £750,000 left to raise, one generous supporter agreed to match every £2 donated to Act Now! with an additional £1. Enter graduate David Oyelowo OBE to lead the charge with one final plea for your help to Make It Happen!

Now, thanks to each and every one of you who gave, Act Now! has become the most ambitious and successful fundraising campaign in LAMDA history. Your generosity and belief in our work has ensured that we can continue to attract and train the most exceptional actors, directors and technicians of every generation. Your support will also help us inspire and equip young people worldwide to realise their potential, whatever their aspirations.

This is your moment.

Thank you
