LAMDA’s 40th Fight Night

LAMDA’s 40th Fight Night was held, for the first time, in our new Sainsbury Theatre on Monday 19 June, and what a night it was!

Our huge congratulations go to all involved in a fantastic evening of sword fighting, alongside an array of other terrifyingly realistic stage combat skill.

And the winners are…

Jubilee Trophy - Best Fight

Winners: Joseph Reed and Angus Yellowlees
Runners up: Harrison Collett and Charlie Woodward
Joint Third place: Jordan Scowen and Adam Wilson
                          Julia Gutierrez Del Barrio and Rose Jackson-Smith

Phillipson Sword – Outstanding Technique

Winners: Joseph Reed and Angus Yellowlees

Rodney Cottier, Head of Drama School, closed the evening with a short and heartfelt speech, thanking our Principal, Joanna Read, for her dedication to LAMDA and the Academy’s redevelopment project;

‘The Quillon is the symbol of faith, the guard is to protect, and you always lead with the blade. So, the award for the longest fight, lasting seven years goes to… Joanna Read’
Rodney Cottier

Thank you to everyone who participated and supported what was another incredible LAMDA Fight Night.
