LAMDA Examinations: Examiner Recruitment

LAMDA Examinations: Examiner Recruitment

This year’s Examiner Recruitment programme began in August and interviews were conducted by the Chief Examiner, Linda Macrow, and Qualifications Manager, Faye Carmichael.

As part of our training programme, Trainee Examiners are required to attend a day training session where they have the opportunity to gain clear insight and understanding into the role of an Examiner and the responsibilities that come with it.

This year’s one day session took place in September and now our current Trainee Examiners are ready to begin their practical training. The next step of this programme is for Trainee Examiners to attend training sessions in the examination room where they will be working alongside Examiner Trainers and/or Team Leaders. The programme is very thorough from start to finish, and Trainees receive supportive feedback at each stage.

LAMDA now has three recruitment sessions per year. In these sessions small groups can be trained within an appropriate timeframe, while also receiving specific individual support by the Chief Examiner, Qualifications Manager and Examiner Trainers.

If you have at least five years’ teaching experience in Speech, Communication and Performance (especially LAMDA), a teaching qualification and would be interested in training to become a LAMDA Examiner, please email your CV to exams@lamda.ac.uk.
