LAMDA Shakespeare Summer School Validated by University of Kent

Our eight-week Shakespeare Summer School has recently been validated by the University of Kent, meaning students will receive transferable HE credits for completing the course.

The Shakespeare Summer School consists of two modules which are validated by the University of Kent at UK HE Level 4. Upon successful completion of both modules, students will receive 30 UK transferable credits (or 15 ECTS). The validation takes effect for entry in June 2017 onwards.

Students joining us on the course this summer can expect to be completely immersed in the world of Shakespeare and his contemporaries, exploring the challenges, connections and thrill involved in performing this type of work. Training in small groups, students are guided by the same experienced tutors and industry professionals who lead LAMDA’s full-time training, experiencing life at the UK’s oldest drama school first-hand.

US student Tom Kalnas joined our Shakespeare Summer School last year and had the following to say about his time on the course;

“Those eight weeks were the most valuable training I've ever had. It's done fantastic things for my performance capabilities, my understanding of live performance, and my attitude towards the professional entertainment industry.”
