LAMDA Tutor, Tamsin Collison, composes libretto for opera adaption of Fever Pitch

Tamsin Collison, Screen & Audio tutor at LAMDA, has written the libretto for the world’s first opera adaptation of Nick Hornby’s football memoir, Fever Pitch, for Highbury Opera Theatre. Fever Pitch, originally published in 1992, is an autobiographical account of Nick Hornby’s relationship with football, recounting the highs and lows of following Arsenal FC.

The opera, composed by Scott Stroman, features a cast of five professional actors and 10 professional musicians, with a large community chorus that includes 40 local school children.

Fever Pitch will be performed at the Union Chapel, Islington from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 September.
