TRAIN WITH US: Our Facilities
In 2017, we opened the doors to our new world-class centre for drama training. This 5,500m2 redevelopment, combined with our existing facilities, means that our students are working in spaces tailored to meet the demands of their training, rehearsals and performances.
The Sainsbury Theatre
A purpose-built, state-of-the-art theatre that allows us to build complex staging and scenery, showcasing the skills of our technical students and supporting our actor training with excellent production values and the latest equipment.
The Carne Studio Theatre
Our most versatile performance space designed for maximum flexibility. With a fully-equipped technical gallery, high-level acoustic treatment and dedicated dressing rooms, it’s where our students take risks and explore the boundaries of performance.
Digital Screen & Audio Suite
Bespoke facilities that allow our students to record radio plays and voice reels, shoot and edit short films, build sets, screen movies and record additional dialogue for films (ADR), giving them the skills and experience they need to meet the highest demands of the global film and television industries
Training & Rehearsal Studios
Our new studios provide tailored spaces for students to develop their full potential. Equipped with semi-sprung floors, the studios can accommodate work in every discipline, from voice class to stage combat, improvisation to screen acting.
The LAMDA Linbury Studio
Our original black box theatre, recently refurbished to the highest standards, gives students a place to develop their craft in front of a live audience.
The Sackler Library
A welcoming environment for quiet personal study and research. Students with specific learning differences have continuous access to software and resources that benefit them in their studies and LAMDA’s Library Officer is on-hand to help with research and general learning needs.
