About the exam
In this qualification, learners bring a story or book to life, and learn to convey meaning through the art of performance. To create a compelling, themed recital, learners select texts and form them into an engaging recital, linking the works with their own words. Performing with animation and imagination, they discover how to draw in an audience by using movement and vocals to reflect the contrasting texts.
At Level 3, learners use their research skills to prepare their recital. They will also bring together everything they have learnt to respond to texts immediately by sight-reading during their exam.

- Performing a recital consisting of two verse readings and links (an introduction, a linking statement, and a conclusion)
- Answering questions related to their recital
