Guide to Student Loans and Funding

Support that helps lift your potential further

Exceptional talent can come from anywhere. At LAMDA, we believe financial circumstances should never stand in the way of world-leading training. Through student funding, scholarships, bursaries, and initiatives designed to open up drama school to all, we’re committed to making LAMDA training accessible to passionate, dedicated creatives.

Pathways Programme

The Pathways programme helps remove financial and cultural barriers for talented young people considering drama school or careers in the arts. Through free workshops, application support, fee waivers, travel bursaries, and opportunities to connect with LAMDA students and staff, Pathways creates clearer routes into training with us for creatives currently underrepresented in the arts.

Scholarships and Bursaries

We’re committed to supporting outstanding talent, regardless of your personal circumstances. Every year, LAMDA awards more than £500,000 in scholarships and bursaries, with around 25% of students receiving full scholarships, and others receiving partial financial support. If you’re offered a place, you’ll be invited to apply.

Disabled Students’ Allowance

This government scheme can help cover additional study-related costs for eligible students with disabilities, long-term health conditions, mental health conditions, or learning differences. At LAMDA, we’re committed to creating an inclusive training environment and supporting you to access the practical help you need throughout your studies.
