Results and Certificates

Results

Your results will be sent to the person who booked your exam within 6 weeks of the exam event you attended. Our exams often run over several days, so the 6 weeks will start after the last day.

Alongside your result, all learners receive a Learner Examination Report (LER) with feedback on what they’ve done well and what to work on for next time.

Both Private Centre and Public Centre customers can access their results paperwork through their usual ExamTrack login as soon as awards have been generated and the automated email has been received. You can access both individual Learner Examination Reports (LERs) and bulk LERs directly through ExamTrack.

You’ll then be able to print your results directly from ExamTrack.

Our Regulated Level 3 qualifications (Grades 6 and up) attract UCAS points, which can be included in UCAS applications to help you with university entry in the UK.

If you wish to query your results, you can fill out an Enquiry About Results

Once we have received your Enquiry About Results we will investigate your query, asking your examiner for clarification and considering any points you raise. We will respond within 15 working days.

If you are not satisfied by our response, you can appeal.

To receive a summary of your past exams, you will need to request an Exam History Transcript by filling out our online form.

If you have one or more LAMDA PINs, please include them all in your application.

Certificates and Medals

If you pass your exam, you will receive a certificate with your results.

At the higher grades (6, 7 and 8) for some subjects (Acting, Musical Theatre, Speaking in Public and Speaking Verse and Prose), you will also receive a medal.

Please notify us in advance via [email protected] if you’re not able to receive results by post due to your centre’s closure over the holidays. This can include the Christmas period and other school holidays like the summer break.

We can hold back sending your results until you reopen or we can send them to an alternative address if preferred.

First of all, don’t worry!

If the certificate is for a current LAMDA exam, then we can send you a duplicate certificate. These look like the original certificates; except they have the word ‘Duplicate’ printed on them. It is very small and hardly noticeable.

If we no longer offer the exam that you took, then we can send you a ‘Letter of Attestation.’ This means that we can write an official letter which confirms that you took a LAMDA Exam and the grade you were given. A Letter of Attestation holds the same value as a certificate.

If the learner’s name is spelled incorrectly on a certificate, you can request a new one by filling out our online form.

In addition to filling out this form, you will also need to return your original certificate. We can also accept a scan of the destroyed original certificate by email.

We may need to request supporting evidence to verify the correct spelling of your name (e.g. a copy of your birth certificate).

If something happens to your certificate, or you need a new one issued, you might want to request a replacement, duplicate, or a Letter of Attestation. There are different reasons accepted for requesting each of these:

New Original Certificate (Replacement)
The original certificate must be returned to LAMDA, or a photograph emailed of the destroyed certificate, otherwise a duplicate certificate will be issued.
Issued only if damaged or to correct a name spelling.
Duplicate Certificate
Certificate will state the word ‘duplicate’ on it.
Issued if damaged, lost / not received, or to correct a name spelling.
Letter of Attestation (*)
Issued instead of a certificate for all awards achieved for non-current syllabi.
Issued if damaged, lost / not received, or to correct a name spelling.

(*) Please note that a Letter of Attestation holds the same value as a certificate and can be used as evidence of an award gained through LAMDA.

In some cases, there is a £25 fee attached to receive these. More details can be found on the online form where you can submit your request.

Where the error is not the customer’s and the application is made within 10 working days of receiving the results, payment is not required. In these circumstances, please complete the appropriate form and send an email with an explanation of the error.
