About the course
This half-day, CPD-accredited support course gets straight to the heart of your questions around some of most popular syllabi, with each workshop focusing on one specific syllabus or qualification. This course covers the Introductory and Speaking Verse and Prose (Entry Level) qualifications.
Led by our knowledgeable facilitators, you’ll dive into the foundations of the syllabus and its assessment criteria. Alongside your fellow participants, you’ll engage in active discussions around how to navigate the criteria effectively.
As you’re introduced to new exercises to use with your learners, you’ll bolster your confidence with the syllabus and develop your teaching practice, discovering not only how to help your learners prepare for their exams, but also to support them to build transferable skills to last a lifetime.
This course is taught across half a day, with sessions beginning at 10am and running until 1:15pm. The day will include 3 hours of course delivery, along with a 15 minute break.

This course dives into LAMDA’s Speaking in Public (Level 2 and 3) exams. You’ll strengthen your understanding of the syllabus details, assessment criteria and exam requirements, helping you to confidently prepare your learners for their exams. Through this, you’ll also learn to evaluate the appropriate stage that will challenge, but not overwhelm, the learner.
This Syllabus Support course is led by an expert practitioner, providing you with space to ask questions, gain useful insights and explore specific areas of this LAMDA Exams syllabus.
Alongside a dedicated Q&A session, you’ll receive practical guidance to take away and embed into your day-to-day teaching.
This course is an opportunity to connect with other teachers and practitioners, sharing methods and experiences, asking questions, and expanding your teaching network. Through the day’s structured sessions and breaks, you’ll have the chance to collaborate with other teachers on activities and contribute ideas.

You should have a level of English that is approximately IELTS 6.0. Although English language tests aren’t mandatory, we recommend that if you are a non-native English speaker and you do not have IELTS 6.0, then you must have equivalent English language experience.
You do not need any prior experience with teaching LAMDA Exams. We welcome all ranges of experience.
