About the course
(Re)Discover approaches to character and text exploration with this Actor Refresh evening course, designed for professional actors who would like to deepen and develop their craft.
In Spring 2027, you’ll be deep-diving into a scene study from The Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov. You’ll be partnered and given a scene to work on for the duration of the course, overseen by an expert LAMDA director. You can expect to be challenged and encouraged to produce your best and most detailed work – the perfect refresh for every professional actor.
You’ll leave the course with refreshed techniques which you can incorporate into your personal actor’s process.
What will I learn?
During your time on the course, you will:
- Take part in a scene study process – delving deeper into a text week on week.
- Refresh your text and character practice in a supportive, nurturing and creative studio environment.
Is this course for me?
This course is suitable if you have trained at drama school, or have significant professional acting experience.
You don’t need to have studied The Three Sisters or Chekhov previously to take part in the course (although you’ll still get a lot out of the course if you have).
Our expert tutor will adapt to the specific requirements and experience of the cohort, and you can expect to be challenged and supported to ensure that you get the most out of the course.
This is a professional level course, and is designed for participants with significant acting experience.
