About the show
Separated from her twin brother Sebastian after a shipwreck, Viola disguises herself as a boy to serve the Duke of Illyria. Wooing a countess on his behalf, confusion reigns as this romantic comedy of mistaken identity unfolds and Viola unexpectedly becomes the recipient of the countess's affections.
Hannah is a multi-award winning director with five Scotsman Fringe First Awards at the Edinburgh Festival for An Instinct for Kindness (recipient of the Argus Angel Award 2012; nominated for Best Solo Performance Whatonstage Awards 2012); Somewhere Beneath it All, A Small Fire Burns Still by David Florez; Lockerbie: Unfinished Business by David Benson; What I hear about Iraq adapted from an article by Elliot Weinberger; and Gone by Glyn Cannon which she commissioned him to write in 2003.
William Shakespeare was an English poet and playwright, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world's preeminent dramatist. He is often called England's national poet and the "Bard of Avon". His surviving works, including some collaborations, consist of 38 plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and several other poems. His plays have been translated into every major living language and are performed more often than those of any other playwright.
