This public production is part of LAMDA’s 2026 Autumn Season 1, and brings together our graduating BA (Hons) Professional Acting students and BA (Hons) Production & Technical Arts students, working alongside a professional creative team.
About the production
Fearful that Caesar will become a tyrant, his friends plot to assassinate him in order to save Rome. But the conspirators’ high principles clash with personal malice and ambition, and as they vie to manipulate the mob, the nation is plunged into civil war. Owen is an Associate Artist of the Royal Shakespeare Company
Directing credits include Troilus and Cressida at Shakespeare’s Globe, Twelfth Night at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, Diana: The Musical (Hammersmith Apollo), Into the Woods (RWCMD) La Cenerentola (Nevill Holt Opera), Linck & Mülhahn (Hampstead Theatre), Wars of the Roses (RSC) Maydays by David Edgar (RSC), Salome by Oscar Wilde (RSC) The Famous Victories of Henry V (RSC), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Garsington Opera), Henry V (Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre) and The Picture of Dorian Gray (Watermill Theatre)
Owen was Associate Director on the RSC King and Country Tour and worked with Artistic Director Gregory Doran on Richard II and Henry IV Part 1 and 2 and Henry V from 2013-16.
Owen is also an Associate Director for Cheek by Jowl. He was Assistant Director to Declan Donnellan on The Changeling (2006) Cymbeline (2007), Troilus and Cressida (2008), Macbeth (2009-11) and ‘Tis Pity she’s a Whore (2011-13) becoming Associate Director in 2010. Owen Co-Directed the 2013 Tour of Tis Pity.
Other directing credits include Alls Well That Ends Well (Stella Adler), The Two Noble Kinsmen (RWCMD) Outside on the Street (Edinburgh Fringe and Arcola) Antony and Cleopatra, Lysistrata, As you Like it (Guildhall School of Music and Drama), Edward II (St Andrew’s Crypt), In Bed With Messalina (Courtyard Theatre) See What I See (St Clements Mental Hospital) and The Duchess of Malfi (Southwark Playhouse and UK Tour).
​Owen created Bard City in 2016, which offers Shakespeare training in New York as well as presenting innovative versions of his work.
Owen works extensively Internationally. He has led workshops in Spain, Italy, Luxembourg, USA, China and France. Owen’s first Spanish production, The Malcontent, opened at the Almagro Festival in August 2011 before transferring to Madrid.

William Shakespeare was an English poet and playwright, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world’s preeminent dramatist. He is often called England’s national poet and the “Bard of Avon”. His surviving works, including some collaborations, consist of 38 plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and several other poems. His plays have been translated into every major living language and are performed more often than those of any other playwright.

Pricing and concessions
Tickets cost £14, but we have £7 concessions tickets available to Hammersmith & Fulham residents, schools, students, or people who are over 65, under 18 or are on Job Seeker’s Allowance. You’ll just need to provide proof of your eligibility when you collect your tickets at the Box Office. We offer a complimentary ticket for carers, to book please call the box office on 020 8834 0500. If you belong to our Pathways Programme or work with any of our Pathways Partners you are entitled to complimentary tickets. Please contact the box office to book.

We’re pleased to offer discounted tickets to groups of 10+ people. Standard tickets are discounted to £9 per person, while under 18’s tickets are discounted to £5 per person. To book, please contact [email protected]

There is no need to collect tickets. You will be send an E-Ticket via email which you can present on arrival.

Unfortunately, all tickets are non-refundable.

LAMDA is a two-minute walk from Barons Court Station or a ten-minute walk from either West Kensington or Hammersmith Station. Please note, our nearest station, Barons Court, is undergoing refurbishment works throughout 2026. Find out more.
