An Autumn Season 1 production
This public production is part of LAMDA’s 2026 Autumn Season, and also forms part of our schools touring programme, bringing together our graduating MFA Professional Acting students and Access and Widening Participation (AWP) team to bring live theatre to secondary schools.
About the production
Separated from her twin brother Sebastian after a shipwreck, Viola disguises herself as a boy to serve the Duke of Illyria. Wooing a countess on his behalf, confusion reigns as this romantic comedy of mistaken identity unfolds and Viola unexpectedly becomes the recipient of the countess’s affections. Roberta is a theatre director and facilitator.
Directing credits include: The Wolves (LAMDA), The Trojan Women (Lyric Hammersmith), Reset The Stage (The Mono Box/Apatan Productions), No Planet B (Jackson’s Lane), The Burning (Pleasance), The Wave (Almeida),  All Quiet on the Western Front (Pleasance, SoHo Playhouse, NYC). Alice in the Cuckoo’s Nest (Librarian Theatre/UK Tour),  Zero for the Young Dudes! (Orange Tree Theatre/Albany/National Theatre).
As Associate Director: Cleansed (Almeida); Pinocchio; Troilus and Cressida; Macbeth (Shakespeare’s Globe).
As Assistant Director: The Duchess of Malfi; The Winter’s Tale (Shakespeare’s Globe); Henry VI: Rebellion and Wars of the Roses (RSC); The Enfield Haunting (West End).
Opera includes, as Assistant Director: La Cenerentola (Nevill Holt Festival).
Alongside directing, Roberta is an associate artist of National Youth Theatre, and Education Associate at The Old Vic and RSC.

His surviving works, including some collaborations, consist of 38 plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and several other poems. His plays have been translated into every major living language and are performed more often than those of any other playwright.

Pricing and concessions
Tickets cost £14, but we have £7 concessions tickets available to Hammersmith & Fulham residents, schools, students, or people who are over 65, under 18 or are on Job Seeker’s Allowance. You’ll just need to provide proof of your eligibility when you collect your tickets at the Box Office. We offer a complimentary ticket for carers, to book please call the box office on 020 8834 0500. If you belong to our Pathways Programme or work with any of our Pathways Partners you are entitled to complimentary tickets. Please contact the box office to book.

Group tickets
We’re pleased to offer discounted tickets to groups of 10+ people. Standard tickets are discounted to £9 per person, while under 18’s tickets are discounted to £5 per person. To book, please contact [email protected]

There is no need to collect tickets. You will be send an E-Ticket via email which you can present on arrival.
Refunds
Unfortunately, all tickets are non-refundable.
Getting to LAMDA
LAMDA is a two-minute walk from Barons Court Station or a ten-minute walk from either West Kensington or Hammersmith Station. Please note, our nearest station, Barons Court, is undergoing refurbishment works throughout 2026. Find out more.
Accessibility
