About the show

“This dude who was like the love of my life dumped me. And he was my boss, so he fired me.”

As if things couldn’t be going any worse for Mae, her dad is really sick and she needs to move back home. Now there are siblings to deal with. And unpleasant hospital procedures. And then there’s the matter of the very obliging cowboy who is haunting her dreams.

You Got Older is a dark and fantastically funny tale of family foibles and the effort to keep going as everything is falling apart around you.

Clare Barron is a playwright and actor from Wenatchee, Washington. Her play You Got Older was produced by Page 73 in New York City in 2014. It won an Obie Award, was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play and was a finalist for the Susan Smith Blackburn Award.
