Game Theory

Adam is a London based theatre director and multidisciplinary artist. He has just finished an acclaimed run of Flyby by Theo Jamieson at Southwark Playhouse for which he was the Director, and Video Designer. This summer his solo show Is It Too Late Now To Say Sorry? makes its premiere at Summerhall for this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Rachel Bellman: Rachel Bellman is an award-winning writer and lyricist who writes across plays and musical theatre. Her passion is for creating female-led narratives that tackle identity, belonging and morality, often incorporating genres such as crime, thriller and fantasy. Produced work includes Precipice (New Diorama and Timelapse), These Demons (Theatre503, published by Concord Theatricals, longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Playwriting), Game Theory (Perfect Pitch, REWRITEs at The Lowry), The Dickens Girls (winner of the New Music Theatre Award, produced by British Youth Music Theatre at New Wolsey Theatre), and So-Called Gen Z (PQA, Edinburgh Fringe). Rachel has a range of plays and musicals in development, including a play presented in the 2024 Criterion New Writing showcase; a musical supported by artsdepot Productions and MGCfutures; and a musical seed commissioned by Birmingham Hippodrome. Josh Bird: Josh Bird is a composer-lyricist whose work aims to bring a contemporary pop-rock sound to British musical theatre.His work with writer and lyricist Rachel Bellman includes Game Theory (developed by Perfect Pitch and presented at The Lowry’s Rewrites Festival), So-Called Gen Z (produced at the Edinburgh Fringe by PQA Sutton), and Elf Spies and The Knights Before Christmas, two mini-musicals for children commissioned and licensed by Perfect Pitch. Their work has also been developed at ArtsEd, the MTA and the University of Winchester.With writer Giles Fernando, Josh has co-written The Full English, 24 Hours in A&E (showcased at the University of Winchester) and FLIP, which was showcased at The Other Palace, workshopped at NYMT, and received student productions at Edge Hill University and the University of Winchester in 2025.

Josh has been shortlisted three times for the Stiles & Drewe Best New Song Prize. Other projects include Club Wonderland, an immersive musical performed at Royal & Derngate in 2018, and Above & Below, a site-specific immersive musical workshopped at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Alongside his writing, Josh is a Social Media Manager and Digital Content Creator for multiple West End productions, including SIX, The Choir of Man, and The Traitors: Live Experience.
