Come back to where it all started: with your peers, in a rehearsal room.
Actor Refresh is all about continuous training. Designed for drama school graduates or working actors, each class elevates your skills and reconnects you to your passion.
If you’re not sure where to begin, let us break down how to join in 2026.
1. Who’s It For
Actor Refresh is designed for drama school graduates and professional actors to continue their professional development beyond their training.
You don’t need to have trained at LAMDA to take part (though LAMDA alumni do receive a discount on each class), and you don’t need to be at a specific stage in your career to join – they’re suitable even if you’re returning to acting after a break.
2. What To Expect
Each class runs once a week for four weeks in a 3-hour evening session. You’ll:
Flex your acting muscles and bring new skills into your performance arsenal
Step back into a playful rehearsal room
Re-engage with your craft and your passion
Collaborate with creatives in a supportive, focused environment
Connect to new disciplines – or top up on what you learnt at drama school
3. How Does It Work
Actor Refresh is designed to fit into your life.
You can join as many – or as few – classes as you wish. Each class covers a different discipline, allowing you to brush up on a specific skill and tailor your experience.
Even if you only have time for one session a week, it’s simple to sign up for one class.
4. What’s Coming Up
Throughout the Spring Term, our Actor Refresh topics include:
- Linklater’s acting practice
- LeCoq’s technique of the Neutral Mask
- Solo preparation for Screen Actors
- Chekhov’s approach to acting
- The imagination of improvisation
- The principles of Stanislavsky
- Character and text in our Summer Programme
While Actor Refresh is a great opportunity to reconnect to your training, it’s also a chance to upskill in new areas even if you haven’t studied them before.
