Emma Adlard

Emma began her fundraising career in 2009 and joined LAMDA in early 2023 as Director of Development, responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy. Above all, Emma enjoys guiding philanthropists to make impactful gifts that resonate with their individual values. She is particularly passionate about identifying bespoke opportunities for donors to make a difference in the fields of education and the arts. 

Prior to joining LAMDA, Emma was Head of Philanthropy at the Royal College of Music. As a member of the Development Senior Management Team, she led RCM’s Philanthropy Team with a focus on major and regular giving from individuals, trusts and foundations, and corporates. Before this, she was Deputy Development Director and Acting Development Director at Wolfson College, Cambridge. Emma has a PhD in Musicology from King's College London on women’s patronage of French music and dance during the early twentieth century. She has been a Trustee of Stile Antico Foundation (in support of choral music) and in her spare time enjoys playing the piano, art history and the cinema.
