Maggie Zolinsky

Maggie Zolinsky is a specialist Stanislavsky teacher. She trained at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, at HB Studio in New York with Uta Hagen, and in London with Sam Kogan. 

Maggie teaches Stanislavsky, Uta Hagen, Screen Acting, and Neutral Mask. She is a visiting practitioner at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, LAMDA (Actor Refresh), DSL, and coaches students and actors privately. Maggie holds a Diploma in Education and Training (DET) and has recently completed the Advanced Coaching and Mentoring Course at GSMD.

As a director with her own A-Z Theatre Company, Maggie has directed plays by J.B. Priestley, Thornton Wilder, and Tennessee Williams. She has also directed Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Slow Train to Izmir for the Southwark Playhouse. As an actress, her film and TV credits include: A Touch of Frost (Yorkshire Television), Neighbours (Grundy Productions), Acropolis Now, and Golden Braid (Paul Cox). Her theatre credits include Yelena (Uncle Vanya), Juliet (Romeo and Juliet), and Charlotte Brontë in An Evening of Words and Music at the Purcell Room. One of her major film roles was the lead in the contemporary silent movie “Stage,” directed by BAFTA winner Sir Steve McQueen. This was shown to great critical acclaim as part of the ‘Spellbound’ Exhibition at the Hayward Gallery on London’s South Bank. Maggie has written a stage play based on the life of Katherine Mansfield and is currently working on the screen adaptation.
