Ahead of its run at the World Theatre Education Alliance Festival in China this October, and for one night only, this bold and hilarious reimagining of Shakespeare’s classic sees the Rude Mechanicals step out of the margins and take centre stage to finally tell their side of the story.
Part adaptation, part original comedy, A Mechanical's Midsummer Night’s Dream follows Quince, Bottom, and their ragtag troupe as they set the record straight on how they met, what really happened in the woods, and why they’ve had enough of Mr. Shakespeare’s "dramatic license."
