Latest Releases  

  • The video game Pragmata, which was performance directed by Holly Reddaway, was released in May. Holly was also named a Forbes 30 Under 30 for her work directing performances in games. 
  • Zoë Armer starred in The Virgins at Soho Theatre earlier this year. 
  • Ollo Clark features in the video game Will: Follow the Light, available now on Steam, Xbox and PS5.
  • Lee Braithwaite stars in Twelfth Night at Theatre Clwyd until 16 May before transferring to The Sherman Theatre Cardiff from 21 – 23 May. 
  • Elliot Gosh stars in Women of the Fur Trade at Thousand Island Playhouse in Toronto from 1 – 24 May. 
  • Let the Right One In which plays at Underbelly Boulevard Soho from 5 – 23 May stars Rachel Dowsett. 
  • Fluent in God by Lilly Rose Zepeda presents at Riverside Studios on 10 May featuring work by Lilly Rose Zepeda, Leo Oliva, Caitlyn Calfas, Carys Murray and Amy Shelmerdine.
  • Dame Maureen Lipman stars in the UK tour of Allegra which opened on 12 May.   
  • Butterfly Jam starring Harry Melling had its world premiere at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival on 13 May. 
  • Katherine Parkinson, Brendan Patricks, Gilbert Kyem Jnr. and Emma Shipp return for series two of Rivals, showing on Disney+ from 15 May. 
  • Lizzie Powell is the Lighting Designer for The Flying Dutchman at the Welsh National Opera, playing until 15 May.   
  • Phoebe Kyriakopoulos stars in Redcliffe at Southwark Playhouse from 22 May – 4 July. 
  • Aaron Pierre stars in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest at The Old Vic until 23 May.   
  • Backrooms starring Chiwetel Ejiofor will be released in US cinemas on 29 May. 
  • Mostyn Crawford stars in The Lord Chamberlain’s Men UK tour of Othello from 29 May – 12 September. 
  • William Robinson stars in Please Please Me at the Kiln Theatre until 29 May. 
  • Atonement, showing at Chichester Festival Theatre from 29 May – 20 June, features Composer and Sound Designer Alexandra Faye Braithwaite.   
  • Ziggy Heath stars in Driftwood at The Other Place until 30 May before the show transfers to the Kiln Theatre from 3 June.   
  • TEETH 'N' SMILES performs at the Duke of York Theatre until 6 June and stars Roman Asde
  • Ada Grey stars in Romeo and Juliet at the Harold Pinter Theatre until 6 June. 
  • MyAnna Buring and Patrick Kennedy star in Stage Kiss at Hampstead Theatre, playing until 13 June.  
  • Natasha Chivers is Lighting Designer for Inter Alia which plays at Wyndham’s Theatre until 20 June.   
  • Toby Stephens stars in Equus at the Menier Chocolate Factory until 27 June before transferring to Theatre Royal Bath from 13 – 25 July. 
  • Whodunnit [Unrehearsed] 4, playing at Park Theatre until 27 June, features Sir David Suchet and Benedict Cumberbatch. 
  • Mischief Theatre’s first musical comedy Thespians tours the UK until 18 July. 
  • Chiwetel Ejiofor is Executive Producer for the stage adaption of The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. The show plays at Soho Place until 18 July and stars Alistair Nwachukwu.   
  • 1536 plays at the Ambassadors Theatre until 1 August and features Tingying Dong as Sound Designer/Composer.  

Things to look forward to      

  • Sam Reid stars in season three of The Vampire Lestat which will premiere on 7 June. 
  • Miraculous, showing at the King's Head Theatre from 16 – 20 June, features the work of Luke Stiles, Diego Zozaya, Brock Looser, Maia Thompson, Jon Aaron and Antony Lam
  • Matilda Bailes stars in Much Ado About Nothing at The Globe this Summer.
  • Anna Maxwell Martin has joined Netflix’s Heartstopper series which will be released on 17 July. 
  • Richard Armitage stars in Jesus Christ Superstar at the Palladium from 27 July – 1 August. 
  • Haonan Wang has been selected as a Director Collaborator for the British Youth Opera Summer Programme 2026 and will be assisting on The Rake’s Progress at Battersea Arts Centre, which plays from 18 – 21 August. 
  • a small and quiet light at Chichester Festival Theatre, playing from 21 August – 12 September, is written by Stephanie Street, and features Actor/Consultant Priyanga Burford and Sound Designer Tingying Dong
  • Mischief Theatre’s The Comedy About Spies plays at the Adelphi Theatre from 1 August – 26 September. 
  • Emma Cooney's debut play Sian De Bergerac will be performed at the Sherman Theatre in Cardiff this September.
  • A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Chichester Festival Theatre from 18 September – 17 October features Composer and Sound Designer Alexandra Faye Braithwaite.   
  • Gerald Kyd will appear in Jamie Lloyd’s production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, playing on Broadway from 31 October.  
  • Giant, starring John Lithgow, will play in cinemas across 18 countries from November 2026. 
  • Julie Hesmondhalgh has joined the 2026 cast of Celebrity Traitors UK
  • Amit Shah is set to star in Channel 5’s upcoming series Wild.  
  • Tom Bateman to star in Netflix’s adaption of The Woods. 

Latest news   

  • Katherine Parkinson won Best Female Performance in a Comedy Programme at the 2026 British Academy Television Awards for Here we Go. 
  • John Lithgow has been nominated at the 2026 Tony Awards for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play for Giant. The production has also been nominated for Best Play. 
  • John Lithgow will receive the 13th annual John Willis Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre from the Theatre World Awards on 3 June.
