Alumni News: November Edition

Here are just a few highlights of where you can catch our alumni this month.

Latest releases

  • Rory Kinnear returns for series three of The Diplomat, which was released on Netflix on 16 October. 
  • Elijah Lifton is production assistant for The Wanderers at Marylebone Theatre which plays from 17 October – 29 November. 
  • Wyld Woman: The Legend of Shy Girl, directed by Cameron King, plays at Southwark Playhouse from 23 October – 15 November. 
  • Series three of Trigger Point began on ITV on 26 October, with Natalie Simpson returning, and Jason Flemyng joining the cast. 
  • Dhruv Ravi starred in Surinderella at Riverside Studios from 29 October – 2 November.   
  • From 30 October – 1 November, An Oak Tree played at the Brighton Dome, which welcomed Ruth Wilson and Rory Kinnear as guest actors. 
  • Ken Bolden is playing Ken Lay in Quantum Theatre's production of ENRON from 31 October – 23 November. 
  • Sam Jenkins-Shaw starred in Bacchae at the National Theatre which played until 1 November. 
  • The UK premiere of Mary Page Marlowe ran at the Old Vic until 1 November and starred Gilbert Kyem Jnr. 
  • The UK tour of Mischief Theatre’s Christmas Carol Goes Wrong stars Matt Cavendish, Chris Leask, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, Greg Tannahill, Nancy Zamit, Will Bishop and Colm Gleeson. The show was created by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields, and plays from 2 November 2025 – 1 March 2026.  
  • PLAY DEAD, written and performed by Bailey Edwards played at Playhouse East (Haggerston) from 4 – 8 November. 
  • A revival of The Sea Horse plays at the Golden Goose Theatre from 4 – 15 November. The show features intimacy direction by Candace Leung. 
  • The Choral, which stars Jim Broadbent, was released in cinemas on 7 November. 
  • Jim Broadbent narrates the three-part 2025 Aldi Christmas television advert, which began its first episode on 7 November. 
  • The Marbles, a documentary which features Brian Cox, was released in UK cinemas on 7 November. 
  • The Lady from the Sea, which played at The Bridge Theatre until 8 November, starred Sadhbha Odufuwa-Bolger
  • Matt Doyle starred in The Great Gatsby in the GS Arts Center in the Gangnam District of Seoul, South Korea until 9 November. 
  • Don’t Look Now stars Alexander Makar and plays at the Salisbury Theatre until 15 November. 
  • Kelly Strandemo’s short film, HOLD, has a screening at the Phoenix Rising International Film Festival in London on 15 November. The film has been nominated for three awards at the festival, including Best Short. 
  • Samya de Meo, Yaw Osafo-Kantanka, and Roland Royal III star in Tangle Theatre Company’s 2025 UK tour of Julius Caesar until 15 November.   
  • Charlie Russell stars in Fanny at the King’s Head Theatre until 15 November. 
  • Toby Stephens, Kyle Ndukuba and Ami Tredrea star in Wendy & Peter Pan at the Barbican Theatre until 22 November. 
  • Lucy Karczewski and Lucy Gray star in Stereophonic at the Duke of York Theatre until 22 November. The show features Heather Knott as Sound No 1. 
  • Hamlet at the National Theatre stars Alistair Petrie and Hari McKinnon, with Sound Design by Alexandra Faye Braithwaite. The show runs until 22 November. 
  • Patria o Muerte: The Revolutionary Tragedy of Fidel Castro plays at Riverside Studios on 23 November. The show is written by Leo Oliva, directed by Gus Hodgson, with sound design by Velia De Nicola, and stars Natalia May, Diego Zozaya and Leo. 
  • Pillion, which stars Harry Melling, will be released in UK cinemas on 28 November. 
  • Esh Alladi stars in The Unbelievers at the Royal Court Theatre which plays until 29 November. 
  • Luke Treadway stars in Othello at the Theatre Royal Haymarket until 17 January 2026. 
  • Patricia Hodge will star in the 250th anniversary production of The Rivals at the Orange Tree Theatre from 29 November 2025 – 24 January 2026. 

Things to look forward to    

  • Fackham Hall, starring Anna Maxwell Martin, will be released in cinemas in the US on 5 December. 
  • Claudine Toutoungi’s new audio dramatisation of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility, featuring Rose Basista, will air on the 20 and 21 December. 
  • Nancy Carroll stars in The Room in the Tower, which will air on BBC Two and iPlayer this December. 
  • Doctor Who spin-off series, The War Between the Land and the Sea, which will air on BBC One and iPlayer this December, sees Jemma Redgrave reprise her role as Kate Lethbridge–Stewart.  
  • Dame Harriet Walter will be part of a performance concert celebrating the life and legacy of pianist Alfred Brendel. The event takes place on 5 January 2026 at Barbican Hall. 
  • Arty Froushan stars in the upcoming film H Is for Hawk, which will be released in UK cinemas on 23 January 2026. 
  • The Broadway transfer of Giant, which stars John Lithgow, begins performances in March 2026. 
  • Aaron Pierre joins the cast of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest at The Old Vic from 1 April – 23 May 2026. 
  • Julie Hesmondhalgh joins the cast of upcoming BBC drama Crookhaven, which will be released in early 2026.  
  • The new BBC drama film, But When We Dance, has announced Rory Kinnear has joined the cast.  
  • The upcoming film Frank and Percy, stars Hugh Skinner.

  • Kyle Ndukuba was nominated for Best Male Lead Actor in a Play at the Black British Theatre Awards for his performance in Romeo and Juliet. 
  • Ezra Saifie has been shortlisted for Best Performance – New Voice at The Speakies 2025.
