About the show

In a room in a house in a provincial town, three sisters wait for their lives to begin. Olga, the eldest. Masha, the middle child. Irina, the youngest.

Cordelia Lynn's version of Chekhov's Three Sisters, from a literal translation by Helen Rappaport.

The running time is 2 hours 45 minutes, including an interval of 15 minutes.

Cordelia Lynn is a playwright whose plays include: Love and Other Acts of Violence (Donmar Warehouse, London, 2021); Hedda Tesman, after Henrik Ibsen (Headlong / Chichester Festival Theatre / The Lowry, 2019); a version of Chekhov's Three Sisters (Almeida Theatre, London, 2019); Lela & Co. (Royal Court Theatre, London, 2015); Believers Anonymous (Rosemary Branch Theatre, 2012); and After the War, which has been performed in venues around the UK and abroad.

She was the recipient of the 2017 Pinter Commission for a new play at the Royal Court Theatre.

Georgia Green is a director and writer.

As director her work includes Human Animals (Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama), Twelfth Night (ALRA), Parliament Square (Rose Bruford), OUTSIDE: Three new plays by Kalungi Ssebandeke, Sonali Bhattacharyya and Zoe Cooper (Orange Tree Theatre), Blue Stockings (LAMDA), You Got Older (LAMDA), The Mikvah Project (Orange Tree Theatre/ Stage Debut Nominated).

Tickets cost £14, but we have £7 concessions tickets available to Hammersmith & Fulham residents, students, or people who are over 65, under 18 or are on Job Seeker's Allowance. You'll just need to provide proof of your eligibility when you collect your tickets at the Box Office. We offer a complimentary ticket for carers, to book please call the box office on 020 8834 0550. If you belong to our Pathways Programme or work with any of our Pathways Partners you are entitled to complimentary tickets.
