About the course

Explore the process of creating and producing a solo show with this two-week course, designed for professional actors and performers.

You'll be guided through a process of solo show creation and production, which you'll be able to utilise beyond the course as a blueprint for making your own work.

Throughout the course, you'll be putting into practice the techniques you're learning, and the course will culminate in an informal 'scratch' sharing of your work in progress. You'll then receive guidance from your tutor regarding next steps and further development.

What will I learn?

  1. Explore approches to generating material.
  2. Explore approaches to developing your work.
  3. Explore approaches to producing your work.

Is this course for me?

No prior experience of creating a solo show is necessary, but you must have trained at a drama school or equivalent institution, or have significant experience of working as a professional actor or performer.

Our expert tutor will adapt to the specific requirements and experience of the cohort, and you can expect to be challenged and supported to ensure that you get the most out of the course.

This is a professional level course, and is designed for participants with significant acting or performing experience.
