About the course
Prepare to excel in your MT auditions with this summer course, designed for anyone applying for degree-level musical theatre programmes.
Working with expert LAMDA musical theatre tutors and directors, you'll take part in a programme of classes designed to get you audition-ready, including one-to-one singing classes, self-taping classes, choreography pick-up classes, and much more. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to go on a class trip to see a West End musical.
The week will culminate with a mock audition, where you'll have the opportunity to put into practice all you've been learning throughout the course, and to receive bespoke feedback from our tutors. You'll leave the course with a process for selecting and preparing audition material, and a clear understanding of how to approach your auditions with confidence.
What will I learn?
- Explore how to select, prepare and perform audition songs and monologues.
- Discover tips and tricks for picking up choreography and dancing with confidence.
- Learn about self-taping and general audition technique.
