About the course
Experience drama school life with this introductory course, designed for anyone who is interested in training to be an actor.
You'll participate in classes which reflect a typical timetable on a full-time course at LAMDA, taking part in both skills classes (which may include Acting, Movement, Voice, Singing, Dance, Ensemble and Screen) as well as project rehearsals. The course will culminate in a relaxed, informal sharing of your work. All classes and rehearsals will be led by expert LAMDA tutors and directors.
You'll leave the course with a clear understanding of what it's like to train at a modern drama conservatoire.

This course is suitable whatever your experience of acting or performing. You'll get the most out of this course if you're interested in studying drama, or are considering applying to drama school.
We encourage applications from prospective students of all ages to this course, and we will endeavour to place students in pairs and groups where they're working with others of a similar age.
This is a mixed level course, meaning participants will have a range of experiences.

This course is for participants aged 16+.
In order to train on this course, you should have a level of English that is approximately IELTS 6.0 or equivalent English Language experience.
You can test your level using the Cambridge English Language Assessment or the CEFR’s Self-Assessment Table. B2 Proficiency is roughly equivalent to IELTS 6.0.
