This course is designed to provide a taste of conservatoire training, to see if it's right for you. We are offering three opportunities to take this course, a Spring weekend intensive of classes and a two week version which includes classes and 2-week workshop rehearsals, culminating in an internal sharing at LAMDA.

Key information
In order to train on this course, you should have a level of English that is approximately IELTS 6.0 or equivalent English Language experience.

About the course
Whether you join us for a weekend intensive, 4 day course or two weeks, you'll gain an insight into what training at LAMDA as a full time student is like and experience conservatoire style training.
With classes in acting, voice, movement and singing, you will get an insight into the core skills of of actor training offered at LAMDA. Your tutors will work with the group to create a supportive environment where you can work collaboratively with like-minded individuals. The course is tailored to the cohort's need, so will be adapted to support your collective skill set and interests.
Project directors will work with students every day on a contemporary project – either a one act play, or a collection of duologues. The combination of skills classes and rehearsal project reflect a typical timetable at LAMDA, and the rehearsal project enables you to put into practice everything you’re learning in your skills classes. The rehearsal process will culminate in a relaxed internal sharing of work on the final day.
What will I be doing?
- You'll learn what it means to train in the LAMDA way and working as an Ensemble means.
- You'll gain an insight into what full-time training is like and experience conservatoire style training.
- Classes in acting, voice, movement and singing.
- On the four day course, you'll experience text and rehearsal classes in addition to skills classes in acting, voice, movement and singing.
- On the two week course you'll also benefit from rehearsal workshops culminating in an internal sharing at LAMDA at the end of the course.
